How do I find an accountability partner in Motion?
Join our Discord community (link in the app) and get stuck in, join a pod, and make some friends. Share your fitness level, goals, and what kind of accountability you're looking for. Most people find partners within 24 hours!
What if I'm a complete beginner?
Perfect! About 40% of our community are beginners, and another 40% are trying to maintain their level, overcome health issues, or just stay on top of their health. Being a pro-athlete, or marathonner, doesn't have to be the goal. We have dedicated beginner channels where everyone understands starting from zero. No judgment, just support.
How does accountability work with different fitness levels?
Motion's effort-based goals normalize everyone to compete on effort, not absolute fitness. A beginner at 100% of their goal ties with an athlete at 100% of theirs. This makes it much easier to find a good partner, and make sure everyone has fun and stays motivated and consistent!
Do I have to use Discord?
While Discord is where our main community thrives, you can also find accountability partners directly in the Motion app through weekly battles and friend challenges.
Is the community really supportive?
